We have been very busy offering products and services to families in school since 2003. We have made a lot of mistakes along the way but I believe we have learned lessons from most of them.

In September last, we ascertained that despite our best efforts to that date, the marketplace was not ready in sufficient numbers for our ‘Healthy Lunch Bag’ freshly delivered to children in school to be a viable proposition and so we wrote to our loyal customers and apologized that we wouldn’t be offering the service in teh school year 09/10.

However, the lessons we learned, the brand, team and technology that we built allowed us an opportunity to go even one better!

You see, over the summer 2009 we used that brand, team and technology to successfully sell schoolbooks online for the first time. It was such a resounding success with our thousands of satisfied clients that we have decided to a) focus on it as a core element of our business in the years ahead and b) we asked ourselves, “If we can pack little Johnny or Mary’s lunchbag, couldn’t we pack their schoolbag with covered and labeled books? and if we could do that, couldn’t we do the same with uniforms?” And so, Carambola has now established itself as THE ultimate one-shop, one-stop solution to ALL 3 School Essentials; Books, Uniforms AND Healthy Snacks (in family sized packs)!

And…our route to market will be to partner with local people all over Ireland who will act as exclusive agents of ours in their localities!
